Millmerran is a township of approximately 1500 people. It’s located 80km South-West of Toowoomba and services a diverse rural community through timber production, cereal crops, cotton, vegetables, sheep, cattle, pigs and poultry. In 1999, a coal-powered power station was constructed.
Millmerran State P-10 School was established in 1882 as Yandilla Provisional School. The school’s name was changed in September 1901 to Millmerran.
Facilities
Our school includes over 20 classrooms including a science laboratory, Food and Fibre facilities and a brand new Industrial Design and Technology workshop.
The school has two designated computer labs, while the library also accommodates a number of computers to allow for Information Communication Technology (ICT) access. The school has recently installed a wireless network with our P&C funding a class set of laptop computers for secondary student use.
The Millmerran State P-10 School has attractive grounds with shady trees. It has an oval with cricket pitch, practice wickets and adventure playgrounds. The junior fort will be also upgraded in the near future, along with plans to develop the senior play areas. School facilities support a strong community interest in sport and the children make good use of the well presented and grassed playing areas, as well as the nearby Sport Centre, tennis courts and swimming pool.
The Millmerran School community sees an advantage in a P-10 schools, in that there is continuity for children as they progress through the various levels of education. Our school has established very strong links with Pittsworth State High School as this is the destination of the majority of our Year 10 students.

Millmerran State P-10 School forms part of the network of education provided by the Queensland Department of Education. Millmerran State P-10 School caters for a wide range of students from Prep to Year 10.
